The challenge
Gini has undergone an impressive transformation and has established a unique leadership culture in the process. After several years of self-organization, the company introduced managers in November 2023 based on a self-created leadership manifesto. This change was and is associated with various challenging aspects that had to be taken into account in personnel development.

One of the key challenges was to find the right balance between central management and individual self-direction. Gini's goal was and is for all teams and employees to be able to make their own decisions while maintaining a clear focus on corporate goals. This required a rethink of leadership dynamics and the implementation of mechanisms that supported both autonomy and company guidelines.

In a self-organized work environment, individuals were more challenged to organize their own tasks and priorities effectively. This requires support to ensure that all employees are able to make the best use of their time and resources and manage their tasks independently. Even with the implementation of organizational structures, these skills remain important to strengthen autonomous work processes.

Promoting agility and collaboration were also challenges that Gini faced. The teams needed to become more responsive and adaptable to better respond to the market. This included improving communication and coordination between teams and individuals to ensure smooth collaboration.
